Advisory work that precedes the purchase order

Six disciplines, one thread: help leadership decide what to automate, when, with whom, and how the floor will absorb it. All fees quoted in Canadian dollars. Last updated 14 July 2026.

HOW WE ENGAGE

Scoped projects and retainer advisory

Most clients begin with a fixed-scope feasibility or roadmap package, then extend into vendor selection or change management as decisions firm up. For manufacturers running multi-site programmes, we offer monthly retainer arrangements with defined advisor hours, quarterly roadmap reviews, and priority access for leadership calls.

We do not markup integrator contracts or accept OEM referral fees. Our compensation comes from you — which is why our scorecards stay honest when a demo looks polished but the integration scope does not match your PLC generation.

01 · FEASIBILITY

Automation Feasibility & Business Case

Before capital committees meet, someone has to translate shop-floor reality into numbers leadership trusts. We walk selected lines, interview operators and maintenance leads, and model labour, quality, and throughput scenarios with conservative assumptions. The deliverable is a feasibility memo and business case appendix — explicit about what is known, what is assumed, and what requires a pilot to prove. We flag processes better served by fixture redesign or scheduling changes before robotics enters the conversation. Typical engagement: three to six weeks, one or two sites.

Indicative CAD range: C$45,000–C$85,000 per site cluster · Retainer add-on from C$8,500/month

02 · ROADMAP

Robotics Roadmap & Strategy

A roadmap is not a slide deck of robot pictures. We produce a phased narrative — usually twelve to thirty-six months — tying automation investments to capex windows, training capacity, and maintenance calendars. Each phase names dependencies, decision gates, and the metrics that tell you whether to proceed. Board editions emphasize financial and risk posture; operations editions emphasize shift impact and skill pathways. We revisit assumptions when market conditions or staffing change, because a roadmap that cannot bend will break on contact with reality.

Indicative CAD range: C$55,000–C$120,000 · Multi-site programmes C$95,000–C$180,000

03 · SELECTION

Vendor & Technology Selection

Vendor demos are theatre. Selection is discipline. We draft structured requirements and evaluation criteria weighted to your constraints — legacy PLC interfaces, bilingual documentation needs, spare-parts geography, and integrator bench strength in Quebec. We attend demonstrations with score sheets, reference-check past deployments, and stress-test proposals against the roadmap phase they claim to serve. When two bids look equal on price, we document the trade-offs so your leadership picks with eyes open, not momentum.

Indicative CAD range: C$25,000–C$65,000 per selection cycle · Complex multi-vendor RFPs C$70,000–C$110,000

04 · CHANGE

Workforce Change & Enablement

Robots fail quietly when people were told nothing or told the wrong thing. We design communication plans, supervisor coaching outlines, and operator training paths that respect collective agreements and frontline expertise. Role-change matrices spell out which tasks shift, which remain human-led, and how seniority and retraining intersect. We facilitate working sessions — not town-hall slogans — so union stewards and shift leads hear specifics before equipment arrives. Change work runs parallel to technical selection, not after commissioning when trust is already spent.

Indicative CAD range: C$30,000–C$75,000 · Ongoing enablement retainer C$8,500–C$15,000/month

05 · SAFETY

Safety Compliance & Risk

We support your internal safety leads and integrators — we do not replace certified safety officers or issue compliance certificates. Our advisors build risk registers, review guardrail concepts against ISO 10218 and ISO/TS 15066 expectations, and align documentation rhythms with Quebec CNESST-informed practice and your corporate standards. Pre-installation checklists catch scope gaps before concrete is poured. Post-commissioning, we help define reporting cadences so near-misses reach leadership before they become incidents. No advisor eliminates risk; we help you see it clearly.

Indicative CAD range: C$20,000–C$55,000 per programme phase · Audit support C$12,000–C$28,000

06 · ANALYTICS

Operations Analytics & Reporting

Roadmaps drift when nobody watches the numbers. We define KPI frameworks — OEE segments, quality escape rates, changeover intervals, and adoption markers — tied to roadmap milestones. Dashboard specifications tell your IT team or integrator what leadership actually needs on screen versus vanity metrics that glow green while margin erodes. Quarterly narrative reports translate data into decisions: proceed, pause, or redirect budget. Analytics work connects strategy to the monthly operations review, not to a one-time project closeout.

Indicative CAD range: C$18,000–C$42,000 setup · Reporting retainer C$6,500–C$12,000/month
